UL 1480/UL2043 Approved Products

Products bearing the UL/ETL mark are certified under UL2043 and UL1480 standards. UL2043 is a standard fire test for heat and visible smoke release for discrete products installed in air-handling spaces - also known as plenums. UL1480 is a standard for speakers for fire alarm, emergency, commercial and professional use and provide ratings for various levels of moisture. James speakers that bear the UL1480 approval are generally rated for "outdoor wet" use - the toughest condition for this standard. James UL approval is listed under Intertek 4010877.
